Marshal holds degrees in arts and law and provides the firm with the commercial background to assist its clientele with and beyond purely transport and trade matters. Marshal is a lawyer of over 25 years experience.
Before joining O’Reilly Douglas & Co, Marshal spent numerous years working in the commercial litigation/property departments of larger law firms. Marshal then set up his own general commercial practice where he advised on all matters ranging from property transactions to industrial relation disputes, both of which are of common concern to many of our clients.
Marshal has now worked in our specialised practice of transport litigation for 15 years and has a comprehensive working experience in transport matters by all modes including the winning of major maritime landmark litigation.
In addition to working with us, Marshal has also worked as a Sessional Arbitrator and mediator with the Worker Compensation Commission between 2002 and 2015 and as a Senior Arbitrator between July 2015 and May 2016.
His work as mediator with the Workers Compensation Commission required him to mediate work injury damages disputes meaning that he maintained his competency in personal injury law.
He is a legal practitioner of tremendous skill which is reflected by his appointment by the Attorney General as a Senior Arbitrator of the Workers Compensation Commission.
He is competent to practise in the areas of bodily injury NSW and CTP NSW.
